A water rescue has taken place at Somersall Park in Chesterfield this afternoon.

Derbyshire fire service’s water rescue unit, police and paramedics attended the incident off Chatsworth Road.

A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “The fire service, along with police and paramedics, carried out a water rescue.”

A Derbyshire police spokesman added: “Officers are assisting the fire service with enquiries.

“No further information can be released at this stage.”

There is no immediate word on any casualties.
