VIDEO: Visitors flock to steamy Cromford event

A little rain didn’t dampen the spirits of visitors to a steamy event.

Cromford Steam Rally was as popular as ever, with petrol heads of all ages enjoying a bit of heavy metal action.

The event featured traditional steamers, historical motor vehicles, stationary engines, a model marquee and miniature steam.

There were also stalls and fairground rides as well as motorcycles, commercials vehicles and military displays.

The steam rally was first established in 1970, and over the years has grown into a popular date on the calender of anyone with an interest in engines.

The event was held at Highacres Farm, in Brackenfield.
