“It’s great that so many people have come out to cheer on their local team and maybe even getting inspired to have a go themselves.”

In its long and storied history, the Two Dales club have represented England at UK and European championships. The membership is currently seeing a resurgence and teams enjoyed the opportunity to tug against pullers who have won medals at World Championships.

The competition was divided into pulls by weight class. Men’s teams tipped the scales at 600, 640 and 680 kilograms and catchweight, while women’s and youth teams faced off in 520 and 580 kilogram categories.
