There was dancing in the streets on Saturday as the 13th International Bakewell Day of Dance got into full swing.

Free outdoor performances were held at the Tourist Information Centre, Riverside Gardens, Bath Gardens, Portland Square, The Crescent and Water Lane.

Dance styles on display ranged from Angolan to Appalachian, Armenian to French, Flamenco, Rock and Roll, Salsa, Swing, Jive, Indian, Eastern European, Contemporary and Morris.

Commenting on the success of the event, Jude Brown, Dance Co-ordinator for Bakewell Day of Dance, said: “There really was something for everyone.”
