Teenager Amber Peat, who has been missing from her home since Saturday, used to live in Tibshelf, a press conference heard this morning.
The 13-year-old was last seen at her family home on Bosworth Street, Mansfield, at 5.30pm on Saturday.
In a press conference held this morning, her mum Kelly and stepdad Danny revealed that the family had only lived in Mansfield for a year, having moved there from the Tibshelf area.
In an emotional plea to Amber, Danny said: “Just come home, just let us know you are safe.”
The family had just returned from a holiday in Cornwall, where they had a “fantastic time” and Amber’s disappearance is “totally out of character”, the press conference heard.
More than 100 local people joined search parties yesterday in a bid to trace the youngster.
Amber is described as white with long dark brown hair. She is around 4ft tall and of a petite build with brown eyes and a tiny scar above her lip. She was last seen wearing a black Puma zip up top, purple trainers and blue jeans.
Anyone with information should call Nottinghamshire police on 101, quoting incident 56 of 31st May.
