VIDEO: FIRE at Mecca Bingo in Chesterfield
Firefighters were called to Mecca Bingo on Foljambe Road in Chesterfield at 4.54pm yesterday evening to reports of a fire outside the building.
On arrival they found that the large electrical sign outside the building was well alight.
The crew used one hose reel jet and the engine’s cherry picker to extinguish the fire and spent some time afterwards cutting away the roof of the building to check if fire had spread to its timbers.
The incident was declared closed at 5.48pm.
