VIDEO: Derbyshire fellas dress up as women in breast cancer

The Genes Don’t Care What You Wear campaign – organised by Peak FM DJ Becky Measures – launched last Friday.

Men and ladies from more than 35 businesses in Derbyshire signed up to dress up on the day, raising money for the National Hereditary Breast Cancer Helpline.

The charity was founded by Becky’s mum Wendy Watson, who became Britain’s first woman to have both breasts removed in a desperate bid to avoid the cancer which has stalked her family.

Becky said: “The‬ campaign has been such a massive success so far and has done a brilliant job of raising much need funds for the helpline.

“But it’s also raised awareness that hereditary breast cancer DOES affect men.”

The Genes Don’t Care What You Wear campaign runs throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
