VIDEO: Derbyshire falls silent to remember war dead on Armistice Day

Residents across Derbyshire fell silent for two minutes today, Armistice Day, to remember those who have died in various conflicts.

It began at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month – the time in 1918 when the guns finally fell silent along the Western Front in Europe.

Our video shows people gathering outside Chesterfield Town Hall observe the silence.
