VIDEO AND PHOTO GALLERY: Ashover Classic Car and Bike Show draws the crowds

Hundreds of classic cars and bikes descended on Ashover Show Ground at the weekend for an annual event which raises money for local charities.

Sunday’s show was attended by enthusiasts from all over the region who took the opportunity to show off their classic cars, bikes and scooters from all eras.

The event, which is held at Rectory Fields, is organised jointly by the Rotary Clubs of Chesterfield, Chesterfield Scarsdale, Clay Cross and Matlock.

Over the years it has raised more than £50,000 for local charities with last year’s event raising £12,500 which was split between a number of local good causes.

As well as the vehicles on display, visitors could enjoy a variety of attractions for all the family as well as taking advantage of the refreshment stands and licensed bars.

There was also parades throughout the day, musical entertainment and displays in the main event arena alongside children’s rides and a large side show with an autojumble and an arts and craft fair.

A number of local businesses, including Autoworld Chesterfield, CMC Motorcycles, PCS Motor Factors, BRM Solicitors and Stuart Bradley Jewellers helped to sponsor the event.
