Eight local church venues will take part in the initiative, which is being led by Derby City Mission and will operate between December 1 and March 31.

Phil Morton, head of relief of poverty at Derby City Mission, said: "With just over a week to go we are in desperate need for a vehicle to help us transport the equipment between the venues and a warehouse we are going to be using.

"We are looking for a large estate car or small van.
