Residents have called for traffic lights to be installed at a Chesterfield roundabout following a crash.
Emergency services were called to the collision at Whittington Moor roundabout at about 6pm on Saturday.
A Derbyshire fire service spokesman said: “One vehicle had gone into the central reservation.
“Firefighters from Chesterfield attended and made the scene safe.
“The ambulance service arrived and treated a casualty while police were there to assist with traffic control.”
Crews left the scene at about 6.35pm.
Commenting on the Derbyshire Times’ Facebook page, Rebecca Westwood said: “It was my son’s friend from work.
“He’d only just left work.
“The car went out of control and spun three times.
“Poor young man. Thank God he’s OK – but it’s written off his new car.”
Other people took to social media to call for traffic lights at the busy roundabout.
