Vandals caused significant damage to a cemetery, mindlessly damaging the war memorial and kicking over headstones on Thursday night.
Derbyshire Constabulary said the vandals smashed pots and tipped over plants in the area of the war memorial at Shirebrook Cemetery, Common Road, sometime between noon on June 4 and 8am on Friday, June 5.
On the same night, vandals also caused significant damage to a number of plots at the cemetery by kicking over headstones and smashing memorial tributes.
Officers are appealing to anyone with any information about the incident to get in touch to help bring those responsible to justice.
