Van failed to stop after crash in town

Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision between a van and a car in Ripley.

A flat bed vehicle was in collision with a blue Renault Clio, which had been parked outside an address in Peasehill Road at about 4pm last Wednesday.

The van, which may have been carrying pallets, did not stop at the scene of the collision.

The driver of the Clio had been in the car at the time, along with a young child. Both were uninjured in the incident, but the driver was left shaken.

The van is likely to have damage to the front as the Clio was left with substantial damage.

Call police on 101.
