UPDATE: Witness appeal after man dies and woman hospitalised in A6 crash
At around 12noon, on Tuesday (November 1) a Vauxhall Vectra travelling towards Ambergate crashed with a Scania lorry that was travelling in the opposite direction towards Cromford.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the car, a 67-year-old man, suffered fatal injuries.

Hide AdA woman, who was the front seat passenger of the car sustained minor injuries and was treated in the Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham. The lorry driver wasn’t injured.
The crash caused long delays and police closed the A6 between the Hurt Arms and Cromford.
The road was reopened later in the evening.
