UPDATE: Part of A38 in Derbyshire reopens after lorry fire

A major road in Derbyshire which was closed earlier today due to a lorry fire has now reopened.

Bin lorry fire on the A38 near Alfreton.

The southbound carriageway of the A38 between junction 28 of the M1 and Alfreton is now open. A road bridge carrying the Alfreton Road over the A38 has also reopened.

The northbound carriageway of the A38, heading towards the motorway, remains closed.
