Unemployment fall from last year

However, when compared with January 2013, the figures are significantly lower, with 2,475 fewer claimants in Derby and 4,134 fewer claimants in the rest of the county.

Across the East Midlands, the total number of people in employment rose from 1,168 million in the three months to September 2013 to 1,174 million in the three months to December 2013.
