Under the hammer

A celerity auctioneer will be hosting a charity auction to raise money to protect local wildlife.

James Lewis, of Bamfords auctioneers, will host the event on February 8 at 6.30pm in aid of Derbyshire Wildlife Trust and the Born Free Foundation.

The event, which has been organised by Derbyshire Wildlife Trust volunteer John Millar, takes place at Kedleston Hall.

There will be a variety of lots ranging from signed books and wildlife prints to luxury breaks at the Peacock Hotel in Rowsley, and personal guided tour of Rolls–Royce Heritage Centre.

Tickets cost £15 and include entertainment and refreshments.

They can be bought by contacting Derbyshire Wildlife Trust on 01773 881188.
