Two teens assaulted in Heanor

Police are appealing for witnesses after two teenagers were assaulted after walking out of a convenience store in Heanor.

The victims, both aged 13, had been walking to the Premier convenience store at the junction of Holbrook Street and Mansfield Road.

As they were walking, they were approached by two older teenagers who assaulted them by punching them both to the head.

The boys were not seriously injured but were left shaken by the incident, which happened at about 6.45pm on Sunday, February 8.

Police want to hear from anyone who saw the assault take place or might know the people responsible.

The offenders were aged about 17 and were wearing dark coloured hooded tops.

Witnesses or anyone with information should call Derbyshire police on 101, quoting crime reference 5660/15.
