Two arrested for fraud over B&Q sportscar blaze

Police have arrested two more people in connection with the sportscar blaze which took place outside Chesterfield B&Q last month.

The two - a 27 year old woman and a 37 year old man from Nottinghamshire - were arrested over a fraud offence and have since been bailed.

The two arrests bring the total number of people arrested over the incident to four.

A 31-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both from Chesterfield, were arrested and released on bail on Thursday September 8.

The incident - which took place on Thursday, September 1 in the B&Q car park at the Spire Walk Business Park - involved a Jaguar XK Dynamic R which, police believe, was deliberately set alight.

A police spokesperson said their investigation was ‘ongoing’.
