Turning point in talks?

LOCAL residents and councillors have been working together to help alleviate the problems caused by buses on a busy Buxton road.

People living on Brown Edge Road have long been concerned about the bus turning area on the road, which is near to the children’s playground.

Talks have taken place to see if the turning circle on Brown Edge Road could be extended to prevent buses having to reverse, and the matter is being looked at.

Derbyshire County Councillor Robin Baldry and High Peak Borough Councillor Linda Baldry have both been working with a newly-formed residents group in the area to try and find a solution to the issue.

Cllr Robin Baldry said: “I’m pleased progress is being made and I hope the issue gets resolved soon.”
