Trick or treater deterrent

Police are offering free posters to discourage unwanted trick or treaters and to prevent a rise in anti–social behaviour over Halloween and Bonfire Night.

The third poster reminds people of the laws around fireworks, such as it being illegal for under-18s to have them and for fireworks to be set off after a certain time.

Officers will be chatting to residents to reassure them that they are out on patrol and will use powers to disperse groups of people who are found to be causing a nuisance.

The No Trick or Treat posters are available from police stations or by visiting
