Tributes have been paid to a 'lovely, bubbly' Staveley mother who has died unexpectedly.
The body of 40-year-old Samantha Jagger-Lance was found in the River Rother in Staveley on Tuesday afternoon.
Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding her death.
Samantha leaves five children - a daughter and four sons.
Her daughter Chelsea-Jade, 19, said: "She was a lovely, bubbly person who lit up the whole room.
"She always made people feel better about themselves while she was fighting her own demons.
"She always showed a brave face and she has five kids who will truly miss her.
"She loved her children very much.
"It's still such a shock to us all.
"It was so unexpected."
Chelsea-Jade's daughter Shyla-Rose, who is two-and-a-half-years-old, was named by Samantha.
She will never meet her two unborn grandchildren.
Chelsea-Jade added: "All her friends and all her family are truly missing her.
"We're expecting her to just walk through the door and let this nightmare be over."
Samantha’s best friend Mervyn Cummings, who helped her bring up her children like they were his own, said she was his ‘soulmate’ and added: “I’m deeply devastated and can’t believe I’m not going to see her again.”
Samantha also leaves her wife Debbie Jagger, her mother, her brother. her sister-in-law, her nieces and many friends.
