Tributes paid to 27-year-old Derbyshire man who died in crash

Tributes have started flooding in following the death of a 27-year-old man in a collision on Saturday night.

Sam Moorhouse, of Wirksworth, died after the yellow Mini he was driving was in collision with a blue Vauxhall Corsa on the Dronfield bypass shortly after 9pm.

He received fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene on the A61 at Whittinghton Moor, near Chesterfield.

People have been taking to social media to speak of their shock at the tragic news. On Facebook, Michaela Oldfield,‎ wrote: “Rip matey I love you so much and I’m in such shock. You always be my brother from another mother. I know you will look down on us all pal. I love you and it’s such a shame. I will always have our memories to keep with me.”

Tracey Walliss wrote: “Brilliant lad, will be missed by a lot of people.”

Ghislaine Arkell‎wrote: “I love you, my heart is broken. Love you forever Sam.”

A woman who was in the car with Mr Moorhouse remains in a critical condition in hospital.
