Train services are currently being disrupted after a lorry hit a bridge near Dronfield.

East Midlands Trains say the disruption is affecting trains between Chesterfield and Sheffield on the London St Pancras/Sheffield and Liverpool Lime Street/Nottingham/Norwich routes.

Network Rail are now on site and have declared the bridge safe for trains to run on.

All trains on the routes affected are being delayed by up to 40 minutes.

There is currently no estimate as to when a normal service will resume.

If you hold an East Midlands Trains only ticket, you may use your ticket on CrossCountry, Northern and TransPennine Express services via any reasonable route.
