It happened this morning (Thursday, January 14) on the northbound carriageway at J29a for Markham Vale.
Highways England said that two lanes of the motorway have been shut off as emergency services arrive at the scene.

It comes as snow begins to fall in the area after the Met office sounded a ‘yellow’ level warning for snow in Derbyshire.
