Firefighters free trapped driver after Peak District crash


A driver has been taken to hospital following a car crash in the Peak District this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Calver Road, Baslow, close to Chatsworth, shortly after 3pm today.

One car was on its side with one person trapped inside.

Firefighters from Chesterfield and Matlock helped free the person from the vehicle. An air ambulance was also sent to the scene but the person was taken to hospital by road.

The incident caused disruption for drivers, with emergency services leaving the scene around 4.20pm.
