The A6 Hallstead is currently closed both ways, from the A623 to Dale Road, due to the accident which is believed to have taken place in the early hours.

It is currently affecting traffic between Buxton and Chapel-en-le-Frith.

The AA live route planner says, however, that traffic is ‘coping well’.
