Train services between Chesterfield and Sheffield back to normal after lorry hits bridge

Trains between Chesterfield and Sheffield are running normally again after a lorry struck a bridge.

A spokesman for East Midlands Trains said services had to be diverted following the collision at about 3.45pm today.

Staff were dispatched to assess the bridge, just north of Chesterfield.

By 4.20pm, train services between the town and the city were back to normal.
