One of the country’s finest brass bands is returning to the Trinity Arts Centre in Gainsborough in March.
The East Yorkshire Motor Services Band, renowned for its audience-pleasing concerts, will appear on Saturday 1st March 1 at 7.30pm.
It will be conducted by musical director Alan Morrison, the former cornet great with both Grimethorpe and Brighouse and Rastrick bands.
EYMS will put on a show which highlights both the lighter side of music, while not forgetting traditional brass band favourites.
Expect to hear melodies from the stage, screen, charts and the classics, as well as the EYMS big band experience, with some iconic numbers. Concert-goers will also be treated to several of the band’s classy soloists.
It all adds up to a must-see show from the band, which formed in 1989 and quickly achieved a status which sees them competing with bands with more rich history.
Tickets at £9 are available by calling 01427 676655.
