Music lovers will be able to enjoy an award-winning brass band at a concert to help support and raise money for the forthcoming Chesterfield Music Festival.
The festival organisers have set up the concert, with Dronfield Brass Band due to give a performance at Hasland Village Hall, next Saturday, with a mixture of modern and classic pieces.
Organiser Julia Tew said: "This local band draws its 29 players from across Derbyshire and South Yorkshire and they are all keen and dedicated amateur musicians with an age range from 12 to 64."
The band won a prestigious Butlins Brass Band Festival honour earlier in the year and won a Battle of the Bands competition hosted by rivals Ireland Colliery Chesterfield Band.
Those interested can get tickets costing 5 each by calling Julia Tew on (01246) 418887 or by paying at the concert when doors open from 7.30pm, on Saturday, September 4.
