Villagers will be opening up their gardens for the public to enjoy.
Tissington Open Gardens takes place between noon and 4pm on Sunday, August 4, with 13 gardens for visitors to explore.
The gardens range from the ten acres of Tissington Hall to the small gardens of the village cottage.
All money raised from the event will be donated to St Mary’s Church for the renovation and refurbishment of its organ, a project which is expected to cost £25,000.
Entrance to the gardens is by ticket costing £5 per family (two adults and two children) or £2 per adult on the day, from either The Old Coach House Tearooms or at the Hall gate.
Sir Richard FitzHerbert, owner of Tissington Hall, said “I’m thrilled that we have so many villagers wanting to open their gardens in aid of a worthy cause, namely our small village church.
“All the gardens have something special to show and, of course, villagers will be pleased to meet and chat with the visitors.”
