Tideswell and Bakewell residents to set policing priorities

Residents living in Bakewell, Tideswell and the surrounding villages are being encouraged to help shape neighbourhood policing in their communities.

Officers from Bakewell and Tideswell are teaming up to host a joint meeting to give residents the opportunity to set policing priorities for their community.

Officers will listen to issues that matter most to residents and then use this feedback to determine the next set of priorities.

The meeting will take place at 6pm on Tuesday, November 24 at Bakewell Police Station on Granby Road.

Officers from the Bakewell, Sheldon-Over-Haddon and Ashford areas are currently targeting speeding motorists along Baslow Road.

They are also focusing on raising awareness of the ‘farmwatch’ scheme to help to cut crime in the rural communities.

At the previous meeting, there were no neighbourhood concerns raised by residents from the Tideswell, Litton, Baslow and Beeley areas.
