Three youths attempt to rob pensioner in Matlock

Police are appealing for information after three youths attempted to rob a pensioner in Matlock.

Around 1.30pm yesterday (Wednesday), a 65-year-old woman was driving her mobility scooter to the Sainsbury’s supermarket, via Snitterton Road, when she was approached by three men – believed to be in their late teens.

One of the youths ordered the lady to get off her scooter, which she refused to do. Another man then tried to grab the lady’s handbag, but she managed to keep hold of it.
