Three vehicles were seized after motorists were found to be driving without insurance and a further two drivers were also reported for driving without a current MOT.

One driver was issued with a Section 59 notice after being stopped for their manner of driving.

PC Dave Naylor said: “These operations are all about teaming up to make our roads safer for all road users.

“Although the majority of drivers went on without a problem, it was worrying to see that motorists were getting behind the wheel without valid insurance, MOT and even using a mobile phone while driving.

“We will continue to head out over the coming weeks and months to target motorists driving irresponsibly to improve our local roads.”
