Three people rescued as blaze breaks out at Chesterfield property

Three people have been rescued by firefighters after a blaze broke out at their property in Chesterfield.

Crews from Chesterfield, Clay Cross and Staveley were called to Didcot Close at 12.05am today.

A Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said firefighters found an oven on fire inside a property.

The spokesman added: "Firefighters rescued three individuals from the property and extinguished the fire.

"Police and paramedics were also in attendance."

Crews had left the scene by 12.30am.
