Three men killed in collisions named

Details of three men who died in Derbyshire road crashes this week have been released by the police.

Mark David Allen, 47, of Spring Close, Kirkby, Nottinghamshire, died on the Somercotes stretch of the A38 in Derbyshire on Wednesday, July 20, at 7.48pm.

His motorcycle was in collision with a Vauxhall Astra that was travelling in the same direction, towards Ripley.

Police are appealing for witnesses with dashboard cams to come forward see here.

Robert Wilson, 57, of Long Lane, Kirk Langley died in hospital yesterday after the motorcycle he was riding was involved in a collision on Brun Lane in Mackworth. His Honda motorbike and a Vauxhall Corsa collided at 8am Thursday, July 21.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics, before being airlifted to the Queen’s Medical Centre, in Nottingham, where he later died.

The third man to lose his life was 78-year-old John Toon of Willington Road in Findern. He was riding a cycle along the A38 at Findern at 10.40am yesterday when he was in collision with a Honda Accord.
