Thieves steal lead from Eyam Church roof

Police from the Hathersage Safer Neighbourhood Team are appealing for information after lead was stolen from a church in Eyam.

In the early hours of Friday, March 20, thieves used ladders to climb on the roof of the Eyam Parish Church, on Church Street.

Offenders stole large sections of lead from three areas of the roof, causing damage.

Police are asking residents to report anyone acting suspiciously in the area to them to help to stop a crime from happening.

Anyone with any information about the incident is also urged to contact PCSO Anthony Boswell on 101, quoting crime number 11519/15.
