Thieves break into home and swipe Jack Russell dog

Police are appealing for information after thieves attempted to steal a dog from a home in the Hope Valley.

Sometime between 8.45pm and 11.40pm on Saturday, July 23, the thieves climbed in through an insecure window at a cottage in Netherside, Bradwell.

They then stole the homeowner’s Jack Russell before climbing out of another window. Nothing else was stolen.

The dog returned a short time later with a ripped collar.

Following the incident, officers are urging anyone with any information or who may have seen suspicious activity in the area to contact them.
