Thief snatches dad’s wallet as he took his son shopping in Alfreton

The 40-year-old dad was pushing a pushchair along Alma Street, Alfreton, holding his wallet in his hand.

Suddenly, a man ran up to him from behind, snatched his wallet and headed off down Alma Street towards the park.

He is described as white, aged about 30, tall and of slim build. He had brown hair and wore blue jeans and a black jacket.

Details about the incident, which happened at about 6.50am on Friday, May 29, have only just been released by police.
