Teenagers on bikes tried to rob petrol station

Three teenagers on push bikes tried to rob a petrol station in Long Eaton but left empty handed.

On Monday, February 29 at around 9.45pm the three youths entered the Junction Service Station on Wilsthorpe Road.

A spokesman for Derbnyshire Police said: “They were all on pushbikes and approached the petrol station from the direction of the leisure centre.

“They threatened a member of staff but left the shop empty handed and rode off in the direction of the leisure centre.”

The youths were described as between 15-16 years old; they were all wearing hoods over their heads. One of them had a red scarf over his face and one was riding a white push bike.
