Team buys life–saving equipment

New Mills junior football team partnered up with two local business to house two life–saving AED defibrillators purchased in memory of former player Ben Obiora.

The aim was to locate the equipment close to the playing facilitates and make them accessible to the public.

The first defibrillator is in a purpose–built temperature controlled cabinet outside the gatehouse at Swizzels Matlow.

The second defibrillator is behind the counter at JJ Tradings convenience store on High Hill Road.

All the team’s managers have been fully trained in the use of the equipment, provided by Cardiac Services Ltd.
