Swinging back to the '˜40s at museum event
Wartime songs, vintage clothing, the heroes and swing dancing were part of the 1940s knees-up at Erewash Museum last weekend.
The nostalgic event celebrated the traditions of the era of the 1940s.
The event got underway at 10.30am on Saturday, June 25, and featured the Festival Swing Dance Society performing live in the museum courtyard before the wartime celebration concluded at 3pm with a remembrance ceremony.
Forties food and a selection of vintage cars were on display, as well as performances from Johnny Victory and an array of demonstrations.
