Pupils found out all about the world of retail when a leading store formed a unique partnership with their school.
Five students from Parkside School had one to one sessions with senior managers at BHS Chesterfield who trained and guided each student through tasks and projects.
Natalya Powell, Jadzia Hill and Callum Weldon focused on fashion, Annie Martin on commercial and visual merchandising elements and Peter Key on profit protection.
Parents and visitors were invited to attend the presentation of the student’s certificates, which they achieved on completion of the projects
This was the first initiative of its kind from BHS.
Vincent Hawley, Restaurant Manager at BHS said: “All the students worked hard and learned a lot and we would like to make this an annual project”.
