Reverend Dave Battison, event organiser, said: “Come on Matlock, let’s do it!

“Last time the All Saints Matlock Mile had more than 150 participants, and this year we want even more of you to get involved to get that total even higher.

“So don’t forget to rope in your friends, family, colleagues too, and get training.”

The event will be opened by Bishop Alastair of Derby.

Sport Relief is an initiative which encourages fundraisers to do something sporty for money in order to help transform the lives of people living both in the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.
