STAVELEY: Police still searching for missing man

A hunt for a missing father-of-two has now reached the third week, following a police appeal atSaturday’s derby match at the Proact stadium.

Glynn Holland, 50, who was last seen by his wife at their home on White Road, Staveley on September 12, was the subject of a tannoy announcement at the Chesterfield FC match as police continue their search.

Leaflets appealing for information were also distributed at the game.

His distraught wife spoke las week to the Derbyshire Times to appeal for her husband’s return. Since then, police say they are following up several possible sightings.

She told the Derbyshire Times: “We are totally devastated by this. I just want to say to him that no matter the reason why, it doesn’t matter. I just need you home and need to know you’re ok.”

A police spokesperson, said: “We will continue looking for him for as long as there are new leads and there are places that haven’t been searched.

“We are still appealing for help from the public.”

Officers carried out further searches last Friday, September 27, involving the force helicopter and ground searches.
