Staveley King George V Bowling club is a crown green bowling club that has been playing continuously since 1940 in the park on Inkersall road, Staveley.
Crown green bowling is a sport that can be enjoyed by all types of people, age, sex or physical ability are not barriers to playing the game, either as a member or just an occasional player. The game allows for gentle exercise at your own pace and for as long a period as you wish in the setting of the historic park which was built in memory of King George V, who died in 1936.
The bowling club is offering any groups or individuals the chance to try the game. Anyone can play and it is ideally suited to whole family participation. All the equipment will be provided along with basic instruction; participants just need flat shoes.
