Spotlight falls on village queens

The Heritage Lottery All Our Stories group has funded Beeley Heritage Group to make a digital story about their village queens.

And a workshop, along with displays of memorabilia takes place at Beeley Village Hall on September 14th as part of the Heritage Open days scheme.

Running from 11am to 4pm, it will include photos, carnival costumes from yesteryear, as well as the chance to meet former village carnival royalty.

There will be children’s fancy dress competions, dancing, and a recreation of an 18th century workers’ cottage).
