Soulful pair bringing da funk to da Dales
A pair of disc jockeys want the Dales to get down and funky with a new pop–up club.
The funk and soul club will be held in the basement of The Boat Inn, Cromford, this Saturday from 9pm, it will then continue every two months after that.
DJs Lord Lee Northern and Red Lester, aka Lee Bowden and Lester Wright, came up with the idea for the club after noticing a lack of places to go to listen to that type of music in the Dales.
The evenings of vinyl music will feature a mixture of northern soul and funk music.
