Songs from four decades of shows will be aired by members of Chesterfield Gilbert & Sullivan Society in a concert forming part of their 40th anniversary celebrations.
The annual spring concert at the Winding Wheel, on Tuesday, March 29, will include tunes from the society’s production of The Mikado which is coming up in October.
Members of the Gilbert & Sullivan Youth Academy, who are celebrating their tenth year, will be joining the society in the annual spring concert.
Celebrations got off to a grand start at a dinner in the new B2net Stadium where around 80 past and present members swapped stories and enjoyed a selection of music.
This year, the society will be particularly busy with a performance at Chesterfield Library in June, a charity concert at St John’s Church, Walton, in July and an appearance at the Buxton Fringe Festival in August.
Tickets for the concert are available from the Pomegranate box office, the Tourist Information Centre or through the website or Julia Tew on (01246) 418887.
