It may have been a wet summer but there was a bumper crop of entrants at this year’s Whaley Bridge Show.
There was plenty to see at the annual show, put on by the Garden Society from Victoria plums and metre-long carrots to onions and big as your hear to homemade wine.
In the children’s section, one entrant even made their own edible gold and silver Olympic medals.
Sisters Niamh and Eliza Orritt (pictured above), aged seven and five, won prizes for their flower arrangements in the children’s section.
The Garden Society welcomes new members. Call Jane Gregson on 01663 734132.
